Black Lives Matter

The murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and countless others have reminded us again and again that our American history of hundreds of years of oppression and racism still exist today. This moment in time feels like a turning point for our country and I dearly hope that it is.

We have hope as our communities are getting more involved, sharing resources, protesting, and fighting for a better future. At Good Capital, we’re dedicated to learning more about how we can create positive change through our investments, educating ourselves using resources such as this Anti-Racism Resources doc, and fostering a diverse and inclusive responsible investing community. We’re speaking up and as always, putting our money where our mouth is. We are working on creating a giving plan to help organize and increase our donations and plan on sharing it with you. We have started by donating $100 to each of these organizations.

It will take all of us coming together to educate ourselves, speak up, vote, and take action. Black lives matter. As Obama so passionately and eloquently said,

“If, going forward, we can channel our justifiable anger into peaceful, sustained, and effective action, then this moment can be a real turning point in our nation’s long journey to live up to our highest ideals.

Let’s get to work.”
