Did you know that according to the Earth Day Network, 1 billion people participate in Earth Day festivities each year in 192 countries?
Earth Day is coming up on April 22nd and it’s all about educating people about conservation, climate change, and global warming and encouraging us to be good stewards of this planet we share. We love being part of this global community and are so grateful for our planet Earth. Everyday we get to wake up on this beautiful piece of matter, hurling around the sun through space at 67,000 miles per hour. This special little space rock that is the foundation for everything we have in our lives. Let’s acknowledge the amazing resource we as humans have been so generously gifted.
Here’s what we’re doing throughout the week to show our appreciation and to celebrate our planet Earth. We invite you to join us!
Tuesday 4/20 - Thursday 4/22

To celebrate Earth Day, 5 Point Film Festival has put together a program that showcases inspiring individuals who are using their creativity, passion and skill to help turn the tide in the fight to protect our planet. From Mongolia to Miami, to the remote Alaskan coastline, these are stories of adventure and conservation, and how the two can interact in powerful ways. If you’re in our hometown of Carbondale, Colorado, pull in, park, and join us at a special drive-in event for an all-new film program on either April 22nd or 23rd. The program also will be available online from April 24-May 2. You can get your tickets here.
